!Cognitive biases of the different stakeholders : Don't blame the data

As product managers, we rely heavily on gathering data in order to make product and business-related decisions. But even with the best intentions at heart, many times our decision-making is affected by inherent biases and preconceived notions - not by empirical data.

This is a universal pain across organizations.

I would really like to write my opinion that the expense of car insurance varies greatly from one insurance plan to another, mainly because there are so many different issues which contribute to the overall cost. For instance, the brand name of the vehicle will have an enormous bearing on the price tag. A reliable old family car will have a more economical premium over a flashy sports vehicle.
